Receipt

A hash-bound record of an independent review: who reviewed, what bytes they reviewed, and the verdict they returned. A receipt binds the reviewer's session identity and the exact candidate head to a verdict, so acceptance can be checked against evidence rather than assertions. Receipts are the review's proof of work — the durable form is the verdict document published on the attempt branch and cited in the story's Evidence; the runtime formalizes the same content as signed receipt records.

Estate surface

Verdict documents live on attempt branches at artifacts/<story>/review-<sprint>/ in the fleet repository, and the story's Evidence section cites them — packet digest, candidate head, and verdict together.

Relations

  • A receipt is issued by an agent — the reviewing agent, whose session identity the receipt binds. A receipt is never issued by the agent whose work it reviews.

Notes

A verdict that does not bind the bytes actually read is itself a finding: the receipt's value is the binding, not the opinion.
