Cadence
A standing scheduled rhythm of work that runs and reports every cycle, whether or not anything changed. A cadence is the assurance mechanism of a standing service: the report is the heartbeat, and a clean cycle is reported in one line — silence is the failure mode, not the goal.
Estate surface
The fleet's scheduled jobs: the sweeper's daily consistency sweep and weekly skills-currency check, the finance desk's daily dashboard update, the hourly fleet update, and the SEO agent's planned weekly crawl and monthly full audit — each defined by its job body and the runbook it executes.
Relations
- A cadence is governed by the runbook whose catalog or procedure it runs on schedule.
Notes
Distinct from a sprint: a sprint is scope-bound and closes when its work completes; a cadence is time-bound and never "completes" — it is stood down deliberately or not at all.
